My name is Maggie. I am a child of the one true God. He chose me because He loves me, not because I did something good or right. Christ is my Savior and I get to spend forever with Him!
Mercy On Magnolia has been a dream of mine for quite some time. I believe that God has called me to share with the world what He’s teaching me. I don’t know why that is the case, but I won’t question Him too much. I love writing and He has given me an avenue for that passion. I have asked Him to shut down this blog if it becomes all about me. Please pray that I write for His name’s sake, not for mine.
I chose the title of this blog for a couple of reasons. God shows incredible mercy to me every single day. I am far from perfect- yet He loves me. He has seen me at my worst. He knows every horrible thought I’ve ever had and every terrible thing I’ve ever done- yet He loves me.
The word ‘magnolia’ is dear to me for a lot of reasons.
- Magnolia trees. at the house I grew up in, the house I’m in now, and by a cozy nearby coffee shop that make me smile.
- Ellie Holcomb’s album called Magnolia. this album of wonderful, Gospel-filled songs got me through a lot in high school. I still sing every word when one of the songs plays, particularly the song “Magnolia”.
- My name. Maggie..Magnolia..
- A street called Magnolia. it holds memories of joy, pain, heartache, growth, and friendship.
If the idea of God, Christianity, Jesus, salvation, etc is new or confusing to you, please see my post that explains some of that a little more clearly.
